The Micro Minute Facebook Adds Twitter Features | Micro Media ...

2013 March 26?|?admin

Facebook incorporates features from Twitter and other social media platforms such as Instagram which they also own. Hashtags have been said may be added to Facebook to add more value in conversations and broaden connection opportunities. This has not been launched yet but was reported here by the wall street journal.

What was incorporated just yesterday are reply buttons within the comments. This will allow for better conversations. Facebook's journalism program manager said, "You and your readers will have the ability to reply directly to comments left on your Page content and start conversation threads, which will make it easier for you to interact directly with individual readers and keep relevant conversations connected." This is a feature that Twitter already has that threads conversations. Learn how to incorporate replies and what they mean below:?
?

So what do you think of Facebook now imitating their competitors? It is usually the other way around, so it's interesting to watch them implement these updates. Ideally this will make the overall Facebook experience better.

Listen to what I have to say about these new features on this week's Micro Minute below:?

If you have any questions tweet me @MicroSteph or contact us.

Mesothelioma The three Main Types - Professur Gestaltung ...

In general, asbestos is just a unusual kind of cancer. Several types of mesothelioma are distinguished between by where in actuality the cancer is growing. Pleural mesothelioma, the most frequent, accounting for 75% of mesothelioma cases, is where cancerous cells develop on the lining of the lungs. The next most frequent form of mesothelioma is peritoneal mesothelioma and this is where cancerous cells grow on the peritoneum which can be the filling of the stomach. Pericardial mesothelioma, minimal common significant type of mesothelioma, makes up roughly 5% of all mesothelioma cases. That is where malignant cancer cells grow on the liner of one?s heart.

All three of these kinds of mesothelioma are caused by asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous mineral that was discovered round the 1860s. Due to its extremely of use property of being fireproof, asbestos was used greatly in building in the 1940s, 1930s and 1920s. It had been not until the early 1960s when the severe health hazards that asbestos causes were discovered, that asbestos stopped getting used. When subjected to asbestos with inadequate protection an individual can breathe small asbestos fibers which are suspended in the air. Until they become set in the coating of the lungs these fibers pass in to the breathing. As time passes, a build up of these asbestos fibers in the lungs could cause pleural mesothelioma. Asbestos fibres may also go into the lymphatic system and be transferred to both the coating of the abdomen or the tissue surrounding the heart. This can cause either peritoneal mesothelioma or pericardial mesothelioma.

In terms of symptoms, the three main types of mesothelioma have some symptoms in common together. These signs are typical of most three types: chest suffering, shortness of breath, coughing, coughing up blood, vomiting, sickness, weight loss and loss of appetite. Yet another sign of pericardial asbestos is shivers.

There are a few solutions for many kinds of mesothelioma but none of those have a high success rate. The effectiveness of the treatment depends upon how early and how strongly the cancer is treated. If the malignant cells are treated when they have fully matured and developed then it?s unlikely that treatment options will undoubtedly be effective. Treatment options include chemotherapy which is the use of drugs to kill the cancer, radiation therapy which uses a radiation dosage to kill off malignant cells and surgery which attempts to achieve long term control within the cancer by eliminating a sizable portion of malignant cells. These treatments may be combined in the shape of combined therapy. click

iPhone 5 cost comparison: $649 from Apple, $579 from T-Mobile

iPhone 5 cost comparison $649 from Apple, $579 on TMobile

A big part of T-Mobile's UnCarrier plan revolves around the iPhone 5, and it turns out that T-Mo's offering the Apple flagship at a previously unheard-of price: $579. As CEO John Legere announced today, his company will be offering its AWS-equipped version of the iPhone 5 for $99, plus 24 monthly payments of $20. That's contract-free, but the device is locked until it's fully paid for, and the cheapest monthly plan to go with it is $50 for 500MB of data and unlimited voice and texting a month. By contrast, the same 16GB phone unlocked direct from Apple costs $649, while AT&T offers a locked model for $199 -- if you sign a 24-month contract -- and the cheapest possible plan to go with it provides a mere 300MB of data, 450 minutes and no texting at a cost of $60 a month. So, T-Mo seems to be winning the iPhone price war, and doing so handily.

Golf: Tiger Woods' quest at Arnold Palmer Invitational delayed by storm

Tiger Woods is going to have to wait one more day to try to reclaim the No. 1 world ranking.

Moments after Woods made a 10-foot birdie putt on the second hole, a vicious thunderstorm packing gusts that topped out at 62 mph interrupted the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Fla., and wiped out play until Monday.

The storm dumped nearly 1?1/2 inches on Bay Hill and formed small ponds in the fairways -- there was even a fish in the middle of the 18th fairway. The wind toppled the TV tower behind the 10th green, which was a pile of metal poles, wood, mesh netting and had a stationary camera in the middle of it all.

Woods is going after his eighth win at Bay Hill, which would return him to No. 1 for the first time since October 2010.

He hit all of six shots Sunday, enough to build a three-shot lead over Rickie Fowler, Keegan Bradley, John Huh and Ken Duke.

"At least we got a little activity in today, so we're not completely stagnant," Woods said. "We've dealt with this before."

There was plenty of action on a short day, none more bizarre than Sergio Garcia.

The Spaniard's tee shot on the 10th hole came to rest about 15 feet up in an oak tree, sitting between two large branches. Garcia used a cart to jump into the tree, and after a few minutes, hit a one-handed backhand shot to the fairway. He then jumped from about eight feet to the ground.

LPGA: Beatriz Recari

sank an 18-foot birdie putt from the fringe on the second hole of a playoff with I.K. Kim to win the Kia Classic in Carlsbad.

After Recari and Kim three-putted No. 18 both in regulation and on the first playoff hole, Recari ended it for her first victory since her rookie season of 2010.

Recari, who brought a two-stroke lead into the day, had a chance to win in regulation. But, like Kim in the twosome ahead of her, she three-putted the par-4 18th. Recari closed with a 2-over 74 to match Kim at 9 under at Aviara. Kim shot a 71.

Champions Tour: Michael Allen rallied to win the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic in Saucier, Miss., for his fourth Champions Tour title, shooting a 5-under-par 67.

Web.com Tour: Edward Loar won the Louisiana Open in Broussard, La., closing with a 2-under 69 for a two-stroke victory over Morgan Hoffmann.

Google code hints at Intel Haswell-based Chromebook

Google appears to have begun preparing for the release of Chromebooks based on Intel's forthcoming Haswell processor.

Google software engineer Stefan Reinauer, who works on boot code for Chromebooks'?ChromeOS, last week committed Haswell-related code changes to Coreboot, a fast boot open source BIOS replacement for Linux systems.

Google Chrome OS vendor support was added to Coreboot last year, when Reinauer wrote: "Google's Chrome OS can be booted super fast and safely using Coreboot".

Reinauer's new Haswell-related code commits this week included haswell: use dynamic cbmem?and?haswell boards: support added chromeos function.

Haswell is the codename for Intel's forthcoming 22nm chip, whose low power drain is targeted at mobile devices. Intel has said that Haswell-based devices could get double the battery life compared to devices using its third generation Ivy Bridge processors.

Google Chromebooks are budget machines that run the Chrome OS, a Google built, Linux-based OS designed around web apps and online use. Earlier this year Google revealed the Chromebook Pixel, a $1,299 machine with a far higher spec than the base range.

The current range of Chromebooks feature the Arm Cortex A-15 based Samsung Exynos 5 processor or a dual-core Intel Celeron CPU, while the Pixel is based on a 1.8GHz dual core Intel Core i5 processor.

Google declined to comment.

John Kerry Is Sick of Iraq Letting Iran Fly Whatever It Wants Into Syria

Secretary of State John Kerry made a surprise trip to Iraq on Sunday to urge?Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki?to at the very least do something about the continued Iranian flights to Syria that go right through Iraq's airspace. Right now they're not doing very much.?

RELATED: Iraq Suddenly Curious to See What Iran's Delivering to Syria

Kerry lobbied al-Maliki with the argument that Iraq could play a larger role in discussions about the Syria's future in a post-Assad era, if Iraq decides to play ball now. Kerry's main concern is that Iran is shipping weapons into Syria, "including rockets, antitank missiles, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars, as well as Iranian personnel," intelligence officials told The New York Times. Iran insists it's only shipping in humanitarian aid and not weapons, but they're also one of Assad's biggest (and one of few remaining) allies.?

RELATED: Iran and Syria Are Committed to the Their Friendship

The flights are going right through Iraq and the country is doing almost nothing about it. "[Kerry] will be very direct with Prime Minister Maliki about the importance of stopping the Iranian overflights and the transits across the territory or, at a minimum, inspecting each of the flights," an official travelling with Kerry told Reuters?before the meeting.?It's the first time the serving Secretary of State has visited Iraq since Hillary Clinton made the trip in 2009. Kerry said his meeting with al-Maliki?was a "very spirited discussion" afterwards.?

RELATED: It Sounds Like We Just Entered a Proxy War in Syria

This isn't the first time concerns about the cargo on Iranian planes flying to Syria has been raised with Iraqi officials. Following numerous reports of unchecked Iranian weapon shipments last year, Iraq announced it would start regularly inspecting the planes if they had suspicions about the cargo. But American officials contend only two planes have been inspected since July despite flights happening on an almost daily basis. One inspected flight was on its way back to Iran when it was checked. It's hard to find suspicious cargo when the suspicious cargo was already unloaded.

RELATED: Bill Clinton, Joe Frazier, and Joaquin Phoenix

But one of the biggest problems Kerry faces is how little Iraq can really do about the Iranian planes. American military planes no longer patrol the Iraqi skies and the country doesn't have it's own air force. There's little they can do about Iran's favorite supply route but ask politely for them to stop. With the military relationship between Iraq and the U.S. supposed to be on the decline, ?there's little Kerry can do but ask Iraq to ask Iran to stop.?

(AP) ? Boris Berezovsky, a self-exiled and outspoken former Russian oligarch who had a bitter falling out with Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been found dead in southeast England, police said Saturday. He was 67.

Thames Valley police said his death was being treated as unexplained. They would not directly identify him, but when asked about him by name they read a statement saying they were investigating the death of a 67-year-old man at a property in Ascot, a town 40 kilometers (25 miles) west of London.

A mathematician-turned-Mercedes dealer, Berezovsky amassed his wealth during Russia's chaotic privatization of state assets in the early 1990s. In return for backing former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, he gained political clout and opportunities to buy state assets at knockdown prices.

But the one-time Kremlin powerbroker fell out with Putin and sought political asylum in Britain in the early 2000s. He has lived in the U.K. ever since.

Last year, the exiled businessman was ordered to pay 35 million pounds ($53.3 million) in legal costs to fellow Russian Roman Abramovich after losing a multimillion-dollar legal battle against the billionaire owner of Chelsea Football Club.

Berezovsky had claimed that Abramovich cheated him out of his stakes in the oil group Sibneft, arguing that he blackmailed him into selling the stakes vastly beneath their true worth after he lost Putin's good graces. But a judge threw out the case in August, ruling that Berezovsky was a dishonest and unreliable witness.
